Hi, I’m James Pasion, a media technician and video producer based in Jersey City, NJ, passionate about combining technical precision with creative storytelling. Over the years, I’ve worked behind the scenes at NBCUniversal, Versant Media, and Spectrum News NY1, helping ensure that every piece of content — from live broadcasts to digital platforms — reaches audiences flawlessly and on time. Currently, I’m part of Versant Media, a spin-off from NBCUniversal, where I manage media prep, ingest, and quality control for broadcast and on-demand content. My experience spans everything from coordinating live feeds and troubleshooting workflows to editing highlight reels and producing digital content for gaming communities like NYXL and 5 Deadly Venoms NYC. Some of my favorite career highlights include contributing to NBCUniversal’s 2024 Paris Olympics broadcast coverage, earning a Defect-Free Award for maintaining 99.999% reliability in media operations, and producing event content that increased engagement across platforms. Whether I’m refining a workflow, supporting a live production, or cutting together a story that connects with viewers, I’m driven by the challenge of making complex media systems work seamlessly. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the city, gaming with friends, and diving into new creative projects.
